A new app (Android) will soon allow users who get pulled over for DUIs to record the interaction with police and alert a lawyer with the push of a button.?Daniel Delgado, co-developer of Duey Dialer, says the app is nicknamed “attorney in your pocket.”
Delgado says Colorado is a targeted state because users will be able use the app for alcohol and marijuana arrests.?The app will send an audio recording along with a message and the physical address of the arrest to one of 10 attorneys that specialize in DUIs.?The developer says he is in the process of getting Colorado attorneys on board with the app. He expects Duey Dialer to to launch in our state by July 2015.
Despite the fact that Duey Dialer can not be used without an attorney, Delgado says Colorado had seen a huge spike in downloads over the Memorial Day weekend.?The app is currently only available for Android users to download. iPhone users will be able to download the app in a couple of weeks, according to the developer.
