Ask.FM??is an international social media service where users answer questions posed to them. The website was launched in 2013 and discredited by cases of cyberbullying, some of which led to suicide. The response of the site administrators was that since they did not have a report button, they turned it on moderators to contain the cyberbullying.
A 43-year-old teacher from the North Branford school harrassed?a girl on Ask.FM?whose boyfriend abused her daughter. The teacher in Middletown sent at least 65 anonymous messages to the girl and intimidated her between January and March, and told her that her boyfriend was cheating. She was also called “body count” to indicate that she was yet another with whom he had a relationship.

Ask.FM is a website where you can ask questions anonymously, and where other users give answers. The daughter of the teacher and the girl knew each other and both had a relationship with the same boy. But the boy did not opt ??for the daughter and ended that relationship. First accused the girl’s daughter was accused, but she actually knew all along that it was actually the mother who harassed her. Because she was a teacher the messages had great impact. The girl stopped eating and was afraid to go to school. She also thought she was stalked because the messages were posted exactly when she was at home. The girl warned the teacher that she would go to the police, which the teacher then begged especially not to do. It would put her job and family at stake. She therefore turned herself in and received a $ 2500 fine back home. Whether she still works at the school is unclear. “I would be surprised if she would do something like that,” said a parent of the school. A neighbor said, “They ought to give these children a good example. If this is her way of solving things, than it’s a special one.”
